I give my life 3
Jeffery Horton
There is noting I would every change.
Growing up working with my Dad.
I was so determined to learn every thing about his work.
I was 6 years old spent most of my summer working with my Dad
Paying attention to the way he did things.
At age fourteen I bought my first car and learned to drive on two acres
Some people called me Easy Money.
I can tell you there was nothing easy about the work that we did.
It was seasonal and hard to keep up with in the summer.
In the winter months I took another job just to make ends meet.
For over fifty years
I give my life to a unforgiving business
It was not easy money
No one is perfect but I never
give up till my body said enough
There was no one to take over
the unforgiving business that Dad and I work so hard to build.
The Bills Just Kept Going Up Taking most of the Profits
making it hard to pay good help.
Because it was seasonal there was no way to keep good help.
For over fifty years
I give my life to a unforgiving business
It was not easy money
No one is perfect but I never
give up till my body said enough
Sorry I could not keep up.
It was hard even in my younger days
I miss those days working with my Dad
And the time my son work with me will never be forgotten.
He worked so hard but I could not pay him what he needed
to live in this unforgiving world he had to move on to better himself.
I thank God for the time he give me with all my friends and family
my grandkids and the love we all share.
There is noting I would change
