The Night Regaled (v2) — Dahlia

Intro

Shall we dance this night, my dear?
Midnight is ever so near.
When you see me for the first time,
you should not fear.

For if you are struck scared,
then I caution you to beware.
For beings of the night are here,
and easily sense your tears.

Verse 1

This dancing hall is filled with ghouls,
green and sometimes garish to the eyes.
You may not believe me, for they seem alive -
but once midnight strikes, they'll relinquish their disguise.

Chorus 1

Regale, Regale
Listen to our tales.
Life, death, or the in-between,
exists a slew of mysteries.

Background Of Chorus

Our stories are a warning
For we had no desire for such
Yet, we are here
and here we outlast

Verse 2

Centuries of fear, centuries of grief.
Harbingers of death will shortly arrive at our compound.
Shall you prevail or shall you fail?
Most have perished - you can look around.

Chorus 2

Regale, Regale
Listen to our tales.
Life, death, or the in-between,
exists a slew of mysteries.

Background Of Chorus

Our stories are a warning
For we had no desire for such
Yet, we are here
and here we outlast

Verse 3

Midnight has struck, and so we shall appear,
unfettered and untethered by any veneer.
Do not fret when we shed or shimmer,
for you had promised your evening, my dear.

Chorus 3

Regale, Regale
Listen to our tales.
Life, death, or the in-between,
exists a slew of mysteries.

Background Of Chorus

Our stories are a warning
For we had no desire for such
Yet, we are here
and here we outlast

Outro

Again, again, another soul disappears.
Where have they gone? Will they re-appear?
The nights are a cautionary tale,
and here it is regaled.
