Horseman Reunite — Mikel Alves

Intro

Backpacks at the door
Same jokes, same war stories
Every year we draw that line
Then cross it together

Verse 1

Flight board flicker, group chat lit
One by one, yeah, the crew touch in
Airport hugs like we made it big
Even if we back home by Monday shift
Scars on our knees from the same front yard
Turned into tattoos, turned into these bars
We been apart, but we never that far
You the contacts saved under "day ones" star

Chorus

Horseman reunite
Every year we make that ride
From different towns, different lives
But we still on the same side
Horseman reunite
We still that pack from junior high
If the world go left, that’s fine
‘Cause my brothers still arrive

Verse 2

Hotel lobby turn to living room
Sneakers off, we divide up rooms
Argue ’bout who snore too soon
Talk trash, order way too much food
Toast to the ones that couldn’t get free
FaceTime framed on the big TV
Laugh ‘til the neighbors call front desk please
Then tip ‘em good, let the squad just breathe

Chorus

Bridge

We said one year
Turned to ten, now it’s law
Circle on the calendar
Can’t break that bond
Careers go crazy
Kids grow tall
But once a year
We answer that call
When the group text ping
We already gone

Chorus
